Biography

I hold a BSc in Geology and Environmental Sciences from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, and an MSc in Global Change Ecology and Sustainable Development Goals from the University of Bologna, Italy. During my studies, I developed a strong interest in hydrology and the interactions between water and ecosystems. My MSc research focused on the eco-hydrogeological characterisation of mountain springs in the Northern Apennines and Arctic Norway, combining hydrological, hydrochemical and ecological data. I also gained field experience in Norway through an internship at the Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research (NIBIO).

I am now a PhD researcher in Geosciences at the 黑料网 as part of the NETGAIN Doctoral Focal Award. My project, “Distilling the value of nature: Unlocking investment in Nature-Based Solutions through integrated indicators for water, carbon, and biodiversity”, is carried out in collaboration with the University of Glasgow, Chivas Brothers and The James Hutton Institute.Using the Blairfindy catchment at Glenlivet as a key study area, my research explores the interactions between water, carbon and biodiversity, with the aim of supporting the evaluation of Nature-Based Solutions and informing future decision-making and investment.
