Scotland鈥檚 most secretive animals will come under the spotlight in a series of FREE events for the October holidays in Aberdeen this week.
The 黑料网鈥檚 Natural History Centre will host daily sessions from today (Monday October 18) until Friday (October 22) exploring the wealth of wildlife that surrounds us.
From seldom seen birds such as the golden eagle to wildlife including roe deer and red squirrels, visitors will gain an insight into some of the country鈥檚 more coy inhabitants.
There will also be the opportunity to discover fascinating facts about animals more commonly seen on the Scottish landscape 鈥 such as the rabbit.
Marie Fish, Education Officer at the Natural History Centre said: 鈥淭he aim of these sessions is to provide a unique insight into the wealth of wildlife with which Scotland is blessed 鈥 including the more shy and secretive animals and birds that we wouldn鈥檛 normally come across.
鈥淲e鈥檒l be taking a look at the homes and habits of a wide range of fascinating creatures and there will also be the opportunity to explore the Zoology Museum for seldom seen birds usually found in high and inaccessible places.
鈥淭here will also be trails around the Cruickshank Botanic Gardens where we鈥檒l be searching out a few of our local trees to discover more about which animals like them, and why.鈥
The Secret Scotland sessions take place from 1 鈥 4pm every day this week in the 黑料网鈥檚 Natural History Centre in the Zoology Building, Tillydrone Avenue.
Advance booking is not required for the sessions.
