When consulting on my own, I didn't feel like the appointments were being filtered for me, which was fine (I learned a lot), and the GP took over or took charge when necessary, but patients were often unaware I was going to be there, or I was being allocated as the first contact appointment for major mental health cases, or in cases where male patients had been looking for male doctors for genitalia problems etc. I gained a lot of varied experience which I appreciated, but I felt a little bit sorry for the patients, and I know not everyone would enjoy the deep end quite like that.

Everyone at Culbin Medical Practice was great! I really, truly, was made to feel part of the team there, and I felt as though everyone had my best interests at heart. I was offered lots of learning opportunities to see different things with different people, even if that was not originally what I was timetabled for. I would highly reccommend anyone and everyone to attend that practice and get a shot at working with that team!
