Matt was always in contact with us and we knew we could get in touch if needed. Doctors/nurses in outpatients clinic were very welcoming and happy to teach. I did not feel welcome in our inpatients weeks at all.

Minimal. Hard to find patients that wanted to talk to us which we understood and respected but spent a lot of time wandering around looking for things to to do or asking people for suggestions on other patients.
A lot of patients were not well enough to interact with for a majority of my time there.

Inpatient Liaison psych was excellent and I learnt a lot from Dr Ireland
For my inpatient segment of the placement, I was solely put in the dementia ward where doctors present on the block were few and far between

2 weeks inpatient is excessive when we can’t do anything other than talk to patients. While this is incredibly valuable, there was constant difficulty in finding appropriate patients to talk to, and then once found they weren’t available/unwilling to talk to. Doctors often ignored us and when asked if there was jobs to do we were often told no.
Better supervision from doctors on ward.
