Join University Collections and the Department of Art History for a unique viewing experience that gives attendees a peek at a hidden territory that not many besides conservators, curators, and collectors ever see!

Two of the paintings that are on display in the Aberdeen Artworlds: Linklater Collection exhibition have a hidden artwork on the reverse. For one night only, we will be taking these artworks off display so that what's hidden behind their backing boards can be revealed to event attendees.

Book onto one of the 30 minute "Revealing Art" sessions to find out what's on the back of John Cowie's canvas Set Square (1957) and Anne Redpath's Tulips in a White Jug (1957).

Each 20 minute session will include a short introduction to the artists James Cowie and Anne Redpath and the paintings which have been on view in the exhibition, before they are turned over so that you can see what is on the back.

At the end of this event, the backing boards will be reattached and the paintings rehung as intended. So don't miss this rare opportunity to see a little hidden history for one evening only.

In order that attendees can have a close up view, places will be limited to 20 people per session. Book early to avoid disappointment.
